We're pleased to announce that Initialized has officially adopted support for encrypted connections. SSL is available at TCP ports 6697 and 9999 on Descartes.
Many popular IRC clients now provide native support for secure connections. Others, such as mIRC, may require additional effort to configure.
If you have any questions, please message one of our network operators on IRC.

Site redesign and linkup
Posted by Wild Bill on Saturday, December 25, 2004
I have redesigned and rewritten the site using a CSS layout. This is long overdue, I must say, as our statistics have been frozen in time for months. The new site also has some new features, such as detailed info for channels. I'll be continuing to explore the capabilities of our new statistics reporter so that new features may be added in the near future.
We hope you enjoy this fresh new look. Please give us feedback and/or suggestions if you have any. I can think of a few issues here and there that need worked on (that it falls apart in Internet Exploiter not being one of them), so pointing out any problems you find would be appreciated.
In other news, we are now truly a network. As you may notice on our list of servers, we are now linked with Pegasys.
We hope you've had a great holiday season and are looking forward to the new year!
